Dating in Texas

Dating in California can never prepare you for dating in Texas. The boys out here are way more laid back compared to California boys who are more aggressive. It's so nice to have the doors opened for you and listen to a southern accent over dinner. Have I met mister right? I don't know I know I have met some great guys and if nothing else hopefully I've made a great friend or two. But I know I am sticking to my guns and not wavering from what I want in a partner. I might be picky but I know what I want.
So wish me luck on the dating adventures in Texas! Hopefully I'll get prince charming & not a frog

I made the local paper!

Below is the article that made the local paper about the school tour program at the local youth fair. I'm in the article and I love how it all came together.

Every year school groups flock to the Wise County Youth Fair so students can see farm animals up-close. In the past, teachers were left to herd their students up and down the barn aisles alone, but this year, tour guides will greet the big, yellow buses.
4-H Program Assistant Andrea Calabretta organized the program and trained 4-H, FFA and FCCLA members to guide tours.
“They’ll talk about fun facts and the jobs these animals have after they leave the fair ground,” she said. “It’s a backstage pass to the fair grounds.”
Groups will see the animals in the barns, and they’ll also walk through the Women’s Building where the 4-H and FCCLA baking, craft and photography entries are displayed.
“It’s a great way for the youth to explain what they do,” she said. “They get to say this is why I do it, and it’s great for younger youth to get excited about it and want to be that kid who is showing that pig or that brought in that cake.”
Calabretta, who also owns her own agriculture education business, has organized tours for several fairs, and she brought that expertise to this project.
The tours are designed for daycare through fifth grade students, but Calabretta said any group is welcome to participate. Tour guides have been trained so that they know something about every animal and project on the grounds.
Tours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day, except Wednesday, and each tour lasts about 45 minutes.
Teachers can call the Extension Service office at (940) 627-3341 to sign up for a tour.

Kick off to year 31!!!

Playing Tourist with Kim and drinking our way as we do it.

Well another birthday came and went and it was GOOD times for sure!! My friend Kim flew into town and we had an adventure every night she was here. Thursday night was a low key night at Bono's, Friday picked up a little bit more with a trip to Boyd for a concert at the Chili Cook off, then back to Bono's to top off the night. I have to say I LOVE Bono's where the boys out number the girls 7 to 1. And the boys love to give ya free drinks and compliments. On top of all that they are easy on the eyes.

Really pretty picture of the Livestock Exchange
Oh Saturday night.............. talk about stories to tell your grandchildren. The afternoon was low key while we played tourist in the Stock Yards and saw the cattle drive. The best part is all the walk up bars and drinking as you stroll along the road. Talk about my favorite part of town. The little window shopping we did. We found some entertaining stuff such as John Wayne TP. But the day/night got better when we met up with some more CA girls who happened to be in town as well. We pre-gamed the night at Billy Bob's as we got ready. And Billy Bob's did not disappoint!! We got free tickets to get in thanks to the hotel we stayed in that night. Once we got our fill of country music we moved on to another bar to get our booty shaking on. Annie took one for the team and that's more than enough said. LOL !!!!

I loved every minute of it. Even it means I may that much older I still had a great time and I would do it all over again in a heart beat.   It was great to see all my friends from CA and even make new friends! I can't wait for everyone to make a visit and make more memories!!!
