Listing and checking off goals

2015 is the year I have made some lists and goals on what I would like to check off the bucket list. One of the first goals on my list is to become a social media manager to many.

I want to beef up my social media presence on all levels, work and personal. I also want to build my social media portfolio. As of right now I manage the family business (AGademics), I manage my father's construction company (Calabretta's Construction) and I also mange my work's  social media (TX A&M Agrilife Extension- Wise County) It seems like a lot but it is but at the same time I think I can add more clients that pay a little bit more than what I am getting now. I enjoy what I do for them and I want to be able to expand my portfolio to a few more people. I would love to stay with the Agriculture community but I am not opposed to those outside of the Ag world. I will be posting links to all of those I manage that way if anyone is interested in having a social media manager they can see what I have been up too.

100 days til D day

Well in case those haven't figured it out I have 100 days give or take until the BIG day!! In November Mark and I will welcome a bundle of joy to our crazy live together. We can't be more excited! I know I am super nervous yet excited. I am nervous cause we really don't have much done. Our biggest task of moving into a bigger place is done (thank goodness) now the unpacking and buying baby stuff comes. Yippie. The next 100 days are going to be busy with work, bridal showers (for Tanya), fairs, baby showers, flying, weddings and 4-H week. Maternity leave might just be a well needed break cause the fall is busy here at the office.

I still can't believe that in 100 days someone will call me mom. There was a time that I was told that I wouldn't be able to have them with out lots of drugs if at all. And well SURPRISE I got pregnant. We weren't planning it, it has been a happy surprise filled with lots of shock and dismay that's or sure. I think the biggest blessing was that I found out for sure and got to see the first ultrasound on my Gram's birthday. I believe that  she somehow had her hand in all of this from above. I wish she was here to see her in person but I know she will be there with me that day and every other day.

It's still unreal to see my belly starting to pop or feel movements. But its real and here to stay. :) This kid is joining a large family thanks to Mark's side. She will have an older brother (mark's son) and 6 first cousins and countless second cousin. On my side she will be the second grand baby and have one first cousin and a few second cousins. But on my side some of my family isn't blood but family by choice which is the best and in that case she will have PLENTY of "cousins' to play with.

I can't wait to see what she looks like and who she takes after. But I can wait she still has some more cooking time to do.

Stock Show Fun

It is stock show season around Texas and that means lots of fun for little ones and the adults too!! I created this photo scavenger hunt for some kiddos I am going to the Fort Worth Stock Show with. But I totally think we can use this for other stock shows as well. I can't wait to see the pictures the kiddos come up with. I might even have to participate in the fun with them. If you would like a hard copy let me know I would love to send you the PDF or Word version of this.

New Year, New Adventures

As 2013 begins so does the adventures!!! Already have 3 weddings in my calendar 2 babies brewing amongst my friends. Countless wedding engagements have been proposed and it's only January.  January means Stock Show Season in Texas!! As we all know that is my favorite time of the year and poor Mark will have to learn to love them like I do. Cause if I had any say in it we would go to them all but for now we can stick to the Fort Worth Stock Show. (I'm gonna brag here and say I LOVE how Mark will go with me on my adventures even if it's not his thing totally he is willing to go for me)

At work we have also started a new healthy program called Step up to Scale down it isn't a exercise program but a healthy lifestyle program. I am excited to see how much more inches I can loose and drop the weight. Since I do have a wedding season this fall. So I am focused and ready for this.

Wedding season is usually in the spring or summer but for 2013 I think it will be the fall with 3 weddings on the books and all in CA it will be a busy and sadly expensive time. So being the smart girl that I am I have already been looking for a second job to support my plane tickets and wedding expenses. Also the second job will allow me to have extra money to either save up for my own house or for maybe my own wedding one day. Funny little fact everyone talks about Mark and I getting married and having babies but us. I don't think we are opposed to it but being we both have been married before we are little more cautious about it. But then again you never know about Mark he could surprise me one day and I SO would never see it coming. But til that time and date I am going to love celebrating all the marriages of my friends and family!!

So let the 2013 adventures begin!!!

New Start to a newer version of me

Well I have to say thank you to my sorority sisters for getting me into the newer version of me. A bunch of us are doing a 30 challenge to loose weight but after talking to friend of friend I believe its gonna be more for me than 30 days. I've always wanted to fit into the skinny clothes and not be the big girl, but at the same time I have owned what I am. But after talking to the friend of a friend I do believe it might be possible for me to be the "skinny girl" I've always wanted to be. It's not going to be easy or fast but I'm sure I can do it. And whether the sisters know it or not they are gonna be a big help cause I'm competitive and I would like to loose the most weight. God knows I have the weight to loose. I would honestly be happy with loosing 50 pounds as my goal and anything over that is icing on the cake. So I guess its time to buy a scale, hit the gym or maybe the trails and get  my ass in gear.

I want to do this for me and not for any special occasion!!! After learning that most my issues I have thanks to PCOS could possibly go down to nothing and might increase my chances in the future for kids is reason enough to do this challenge. I want kids and with having PCOS I've always been told its gonna take a whole lot of drugs and prayers for it to happen :( And since I'm no spring chicken its time to really see what I can do to reverse some of the side effects of PCOS. Don't get me wrong I don't plan on getting preggers any time soon but when I do want to I want to be ahead of the game not behind it. Let's hope this is a start to great beginning.

Wish me luck!!!
