Just when you thought Texans talk weird check out the British.

May is Beef Month!!!!

I am so excited that it's beef month!! Fire up the GRILL!!! It's a great month to eat tasty food and support our cattle ranchers! There is so many ways you can make beef into tasty tasty meals. No matter what you are in the mood for there is a way to incorporate beef into the meal.
I have to say I have been apart of local and national Cattlewomen's Association and I am very proud of the organizations and to be apart of them. They promote not only a great industry but great people who raise  beef cattle. I am so proud of all the opportunities that the Beef Cattle industry has offered to kids, students and us adults for continuing education.

Planner

I am such a over achiever lately when it comes to planning. But then again with my crazy schedule I have to be a planner. I have already been looking at plane tickets for weddings and showers. And those are MONTHS away!! I luckily have already found the dress I will be wearing to my brother's wedding. Since I'm not in it I don't have to worry about making sure I coordinate with 5 other girls. But at least I found a super cute dress to rock and be comfy!!!

I swear my schedule is SO BUSY I don't even have room for naps. And lately I have been loving my naps and trying to get them all the time. Even has I type I want to go outside and nap in the sun and soak up some Vitamin D!!! You can never have too much vitamin D.

I am so looking forward to the fall and all the FUN things it will bring I just hope I can attend it all. If not I will be looking into a cardboard cut out of me to be attending these events and everyone take pictures with me like I was there. Don't knock it I might just do it.

National AG day and week!!

This week is National Agriculture week and I couldn't be happier!! I love how much AGRICULTURE has had a part of my life and continues too. I feel privileged to have been able to grow up in the city yet have the best parents to realize I needed to have a base in agriculture. I am even prouder to make a living in the best industry ever!!! I have to thank all the hard working Ranchers and Farmers that make everyday easier for us! I couldn't even imagine how we could survive without their hard work!! I am proud to say that some of my dearest friends all have jobs in AGRICULTURE and that most of the people I know in AG are WOMEN!!!

Thanks to 4-H and FFA I truly believe our next generations will continue to appreciate and LOVE what Farmers and Ranchers do for us on a daily basis. And because of that we will have more educated shoppers, consumers and educators for future generations.

I hope that we all learn one thing new about AGRICULTURE daily and never stop learning about the industry that built this great nation.

HAPPY NATIONAL AGRICULTURE WEEK!!!!

CAUTION CURVY ROAD AHEAD

It is amazing how you can be cruising down the path of life and all of sudden there is a blind curve and you had no clue where it came from cause there is never any warning for them. And the path you thought you were on as now been side tracked to a scenic route. Sometimes the scenic route might be the better path for you. I'm not a overly spiritual person (which is hard to believe living in the bible belt) but I do think that sometimes a Higher person does bring people in and out of lives for a reason as well they might have a bigger plan for you. No matter what path I am on I plan on enjoying the ride and take in all views.

I can't wait to see where this blind curve is taking me and what adventures might lie ahead. As we all know I LOVE a good adventure.

Birthday Month

Well March is definitely birthday month for me and a few of the gals in the family!!! Which also makes this the BEST month of year because of that. This year I turned 32 and I swear I don't feel like I am. But then again everyone tells me I don't look that old (thank goodness) But however the older I get the more I realize so many things I thought I would have done by now I don't have done.

Here is the list of what I thought I would have done by now:
  • Still no kids and ten years ago I would have told you I would be done having them by now.
  • Be married. Well I was for a short time and it sadly just didn't work out.
  • Own my house. Nope not yet, things haven't worked out financially thanks to a divorce and the HORRIBLE economy.
  • Vacations yearly. When the economy is bad and you are busting your butt to pay the bills sadly this gets put on the back burner.
Even with all the stuff I have yet to do I wouldn't change a thing. I love where I live, the job I have and the man I have as well. And some things are always gonna work out whether I plan on it or not. One day I will get to check all those things off my list it just may not be in the time line I once had for my self. I look forward to now just living day to day and loving what I do have and not worrying about what I don't have yet.

I wish everyone that is having a birthday this month HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! and I wish everyone the BEST!!
